Premera Blue Cross is a not-for-profit independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association with health plans designed to strike the right balance between coverage and price. Their plans offer a network that is 29,000 providers strong in Washington and personal, responsive customer service. In addition, they provide coverage wherever your clients travel—nationally through the BlueCard® network and internationally through BlueCard® Worldwide. CIGNA is a national health service company with choice in plan design, funding options and a strong network and service capabilities. CIGNA has extensive health and wellness programs for your clients’ employees. They offer Level Funding (25+ employees) and Fully Insured (50+) plans with a 5% commission each for medical and dental plans. See commissions.

Group Health is a consumer-governed, nonprofit health care system that coordinates care and coverage. Based in Seattle and founded in 1947, Group Health serves more than 574,000 members in Washington and Idaho. Group Health offers affordable plan designs, choice of physician, deductible and HSA options with new small group offerings for 2011. Group Health's commercial and Medicare plans have received the top rating of "Excellent" from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Starmark offers self funded and fully insured group plans. For your groups of five or more employees, a Starmark Healthy Incentives self-funded plan may enable your client to experience lower premiums than traditional health insurance. All plans include a prescription drug card and office visit/urgent care copay and alternative medicine coverage. Clients retain the surplus if claims expenses are lower than funded while also having limited liability through stop-loss insurance. Clients pay one monthly bill just like fully insured plans. BEST Life has Dental PPO and Indemnity products available for groups as small as 2 employees enrolling. Both products offer dental plans as employer-contributory or voluntary. Washington Alliance for Healthcare Insurance Trust (WAHIT) is an employer-governed trust that began in 1997. The trust has arranged group insurance contracts with Premera Blue Cross, Lifewise Assurance Company and VSP to provide insurance for medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life, and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D). Through the pooling of a large number of employers, the Trust is able to negotiate and obtain the best benefit plans at a very affordable cost.
